Don't miss the final giveaway of my debut novel before the release of the 2nd edition. Yes, it has been revamped and contains more of what my readers have asked for and is now more YA-friendly. I hope to have a new release date soon and look forward to sharing it with everyone!

I have finished Part One of The Mind Entangled, a short story series that I started a couple months back. It came out pretty good and even longer than I expected it to be. Of course, it still needs to go through a final round of editing, but I'm very happy with the results.
My intention is to have it up and available to the public for download on May 20th. Watch my blog, my tweets, my fan page, etc... for more updates.
The Mind Entangled
After living what seemed to be a perfect life with the perfect man, Adrianna makes a life shattering discovery. When his supposedly dead family shows up, disturbing truths come to light. Everything about her life was a lie, especially her husband. Through powers unknown to her, Torstein controlled every move she made, every thought she had.
With her life falling to pieces around her, could only focus on one thought. Not who her husband was, but what?

So this is news that I've known about for awhile now but finally get to really share! Jacqueline Carey, my favorite female author, has officially accepted an invitation to be the Author Guest of Honor at DarkCon for next January! I'm privy to this information because I helped to write up the invitation letter that was sent to her.
This morning she posted on her Facebook page that she would be attending. This was her first mention of it in a public forum so I guess that makes it even more official than the Con stating it. She will be in the Valley of the Sun for 4 days, I think. What's more, I get to spend that entire time with her! I get to play the role of guest liaison to someone that I admire. This is a big deal to me as I've been a fan since the first Kushiel book came out on the market.
I would recommend her writing to anyone (above the age of 17). Her style is so complex and yet her words flow smoothly. She is an amazing author deserving of much praise. If you haven't heard of her or her books before, you should definitely check them out.

Indie Author Bumper Stickers
Some might think it strange, but Stephanie (Book Love Blog) and I got to tweeting about just that. It's hard to find love, as an indie author, and we were trying to come up with ways to spread the word. Just because an author is self-published, does not mean they are less worthy of readers.

To think or to write? Courtney Conant – Guest Blogger

Every author has a different way of going about things, different tricks and tips that they might share for getting past writer’s block. What works for me? What is my tip? Stop thinking about it and just do it!
For me, I don’t write; my fingers do. I’ve always found that when I actually try to think when I’m working on a piece, it turns out to be more like word vomit than anything worth reading. I had attempted to write a novel many times. It had always been a goal of mine, ever since I was a small child. I always dreamed that I would write the next best seller and that my book would be on shelves around the world. More than twenty years after the dream burrowed its way into my head, it still has not come to pass.
I spent many wasted attempts working on that novel. Each attempt had many hours of planning and plotting behind it. I would write up a concept for the book, put together an outline, build character descriptions and backgrounds. I put so much work into the book that by the time I got around to writing it, I had already lost my way. No matter how hard I tried, I just could not actually WRITE the story I wanted to tell. After having this happen to me several times, I decided to go about it a different way…
